I ordered the large bit for my husband to use in the garden, I’ve been asking him to move some plants and he kept telling me that the roots systems of the other plants would make it impossible so I ordered the bit so he could drill out those other roots....since it’s winter here, the ground frozen and covered in snow, we will not be able to put this thing to use until May. Looking forward to its success!

Ground under snow and ice now. I expect to be able to plant my seedlings in the spring. Hope it works as shown. Neighbor says if you hit a root or rock, it might jerk your arm.

The product arrived promptly. Appears to be good quality. Has been useful digging holes for plants. Our soil is extremely rocky and has a lot of clay, so this tool is ok for smallish holes and makes the job easier.

We had a warm couple of days after I received the drill so I went and planted about 100 bulbs for spring. Took much less time than normal....just drill and pull the drill out with the remaining dirt. I guess took me about 1/2 hour to plant and most of the time was fill the holes back up.

Works real well to loosen soil for postholes. We've got real sticky clay soils here in Killeen Texas, and it doesn't clog up, just keeps digging. If you hit a root, or large rock, it will almost twist the drill out of your hands. Really well made.

It's much better than digging a hole with a scoop or hole diggers! It pulverizes the soil and you can dig as big a hole as you want.

I think I ordered too big a diameter for the type of soil I have in my garden, also my drill found it hard going with the combination of soil and drill size. An industrial drill would be best. Having said that in a lighter soil, well dug it was fine and saved me time and effort.

I had to drill six small deep holes for some anchor point to be concreted into. This Auger worked fantastically. I did not have to dig a hugh hole and use lot of concrete for the small anchor points. Waiting for my next project.

Little bit of debris get chucked out by the bit as it eats into the soil, and I had to be careful not to put too much pressure on the drill or it compacted the soil at the bottom of the hole. Brilliant idea though if you have a bad back and cannot spend too much time bending. I will most certainly be using it - a lot!

Quick delivery, now used a few times, it quickly made the hole for planting. If you are on clay it would be better to crack the area with smaller drill in several places then use the large one. The men of the House said the drills looked good and strong.
